A stone cut print of a stylized representation of an owl. In the centre of the composition an owl sits facing right, with its face turned toward the viewer. The eye-mask and three-pointed "crown" are in dark brown-black tones, with the portion of the head between the eyes and crown consisting of rows of hash-marked / feathered lines in predominantly black and white. The body of the owl consists of similar feathered lines in variegated black, brown, green, and navy tones, with the tail in variegated lines. There are four trefoil projections spaced roughly equidistant around the head of the owl, with a similar projection at bottom centre, with similar feathered lines in black and white. Two branch/leaf projections extend from the owl to the lower left and right corners, with white hash marks over dark variegated tones. The painting is signed "Kenojuak" in pencil in the lower right below the image. There are Inuit syllabics in the upper right corner.
