Etching

An abstract representation of the Greek figure Odysseus. The figure is made up of large block forms, with an inverted "U" for the legs, a large rounded square for the body, a rounded horizontal rectangle for the head, and narrow crown-like shape on the top of the head. The interiors of the block forms are mottled grey, with the suggestion of forms, figures, letters and numbers within them. The figure appears to be wearing a cape, the edges of which are visible on either side, black on the left and light grey on the right. The etching is signed "John K. Esler '66" in pencil in the lower right below the image.
