Painting

An abstract still life painting. On a light blue tabletop, tipped up so that it is nearly parallel to the picture pane, are several different types of vessels, including: a square basket with an upright handle at lower left, a round basket at lower centre, a white vase with green foliage in it at upper centre right, a blue vase with white tulips at centre right, a white plate with two dark oblong objects on it at upper centre left, a copper tea/coffee pot with two orange poppies in it near the upper left corner, and a large round bowl with large yellowish fruit in it just above the centre of the composition. Near the upper right there is a cut out section behind the table with a figure drinking out of a white mug. To the right in the upper corner is a second figure, female, yellowish in colour. The painting is signed "Aspell" in red paint in the lower left corner. The painting is housed in a contemporary painted wood frame with a plain yellow top edge and a white ovolo and bevelled sight edge.
