This is an aneroid barometer. It is in a wooden housing and has a cracked glass cover. The dial and direction arms are intact. On the dial it says "Lambrechts holosteric barometer". The numbers on the dial range from 700-790 in increments of 10. There is a smaller insert with a second range of numbers that go from 740-780 in increments of 10. The insert also has "STORMY RAIN CHANGE FAIR VERY DRY" in block font along the top. Between the insert and the mechanisms it says, "For comparing with the weather map, Issued by Government weather bureau". On the wooden housing it says, "THE CANADIAN IMPORT COMPANY // MONTREAL QUEBEC // WHOLESALE COALS". There is a ring on the top of the artifact for hanging it. The backing is metal and has a logo stamped into the centre.
