Hatchel

A handmade wooden hatchel with metal teeth. The base of the hatchel consists of a rectangular flat wooden board, with slightly rounded corners and a circular hole on both ends of the board. The top surface of the board is branded with a semi-circle design, while the bottom is undecorated. Nailed to the centre of the board, is a circular base for the flax comb. The flax comb is circular in shape and is constructed by nailing several nails through a circular piece of wood. The comb is nailed to the base so the nails or metal teeth are facing upwards and away from the base.
